OPERATIONAL CHANGE
Beginning in August we'll no longer be open at the tasting room. We'll keep going to festivals and be available by appointment though.
Moonfeathers started as a hobby and we'd like to take it back to a hobby. Thanks for your support.

About Us

Moonfeathers' Beginnings
The idea to make wine for a hobby came to Bill on his honeymoon! Bill and Teri married in September of 1998. They honeymooned at Lake Tahoe. While they were there they visited some of the small wineries in northern California.
Bill is a medical technologist by day, so the chemistry side was intriguing. By April of 2000, they had given birth to the winery and were awaiting the birth of their first child in October of the same year!

The Logo and Name
Both the name and logo came from Bill and Teri's wedding program, which Teri designed. It was designed to reflect her Indian heritage. The cover of the program featured the moon and feather design. They liked it so much that it became the name of their winery and the design of their labels.

The Moonfeathers' Family
The Moonfeathers' Winery is a complete family affair. The owners are Bill and Teri Stovall. Bill is the wine maker, gardener, salesman, and all-around handy-man. Teri oversees the bookwork, merchandise, and organizes the festivals. Their two-year-old daughter, Kali, helps with bottling days, stocking shelves, and is a great greeter!
Teri's sister, Angi Nickels, is in charge of the daily running of the winery. If you stop by on Friday or Saturday, you will most likely get to meet her.
On bottling days all of the relatives are called to help. And many friends as well. In fact, if you happen to be here on a bottling day you may just get put to work!

Moonfeathers Winery is located in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

About Our Wines
The wines we offer are made here in our production room. We get our grapes from vineyards all around Oklahoma. Bill does all the work on them to take them from fruit to bottle. This can take anywhere from six months to a year.
